      Girls Soccer Beat Hersey, Face Palatine Tonight at Home

    HEHS Varsity Girls Soccer began a 5-games-in-8-days campaign on Saturday with a convincing 3-1 win over Hersey. The win improves the Hawks record to five wins on the season. Tonight, the Hawks are at home facing the Pirates of Palatine High School. Come out and support us! JV1 kicks off at 4:45 p.m., Varsity kicks off at 6:30 p.m. Go Hawks!!!

    LOCAL SCHOLARSHIP RECIPIENTS

    Attention Seniors: Did you receive a scholarship from a local organization, agency, or business? If so, please bring a copy of the award letter to the Student Services Office before Friday, 5/6/16, to receive recognition at the Honors Convocation.

    ATP’s GOT TALENT 2016

    The 4th annual ATPs Got Talent Variety Show will be held on Monday, May 9th, at 6pm in the HEHS Auditorium. Tickets are $3 in advance and $5 at the door. Tickets will be available for purchase next week in the cafeteria during lunch.     Summer Camp Physicals for the Class of 2020

    If your child will be participating in a summer camp, please make sure that a copy of their current physical (within the last 13 months) is on file with the Hoffman Estates Nurse no later than June 10th. We will not be receiving the junior high health files in time for them to be reviewed before the sports camp begin. If students do not have a current physical at Hoffman Estates they will not be allowed to participate in their camp until we receive it and it is reviewed.

    MARTIAL ARTS PRACTICE

    Practice will be in the wrestling room on Tuesdays and Thursdays after school. See you there!

    PROM AND POST PROM TICKET SALES

    Prom is almost here! Save the date for “Here’s to Never Growing Up,” Prom on Saturday, June 4th at Belvedere Banquets in Elk Grove. Please check out the school website for information on upcoming ticket sale dates. Download the form(s) from the website and show up at ticket sales with your completed information, ID and cash on Wednesday, May 11th from 3-5 pm in Room 157, and Thursday, May 12th from 4-6 pm in Room 157.     Jazz & Arts Fest May 3rd

    TUESDAY, MAY 3, 6:00-9:00

    CAFETERIA – FREE ADMISSION – POTATO BAR & ICE CREAM AVAILABLE FOR PURCHASE

    • The Hoffman Jazz Ensemble, Shades of Blue, Art Department, and Fashion Design students present the Second Annual Jazz & Arts Fest in the HEHS Jazz Club & Art Gallery, (AKA the Cafeteria, as you’ve never seen it before).
    • The Art Gallery opens at 6pm and the District 54 Jazz Band kicks off the music portion at 6:15.

    Wrapping up the evening is the Chicago-based award winning professional A Cappella group – An Octave Above. You can find more information about them, along with sample recordings at anoctaveabove.com. We are thrilled to have them perform at HEHS. Come be part of this new musical & artistic tradition!
