      Career Treks – How and where to sign up

    The CRC (College and Career Resource Center) is now located in the back of the Media center. Career Treks and speakers are for all Hoffman students that are interested in the topic and are free. Colored flyers advertising upcoming events are on boards throughout the school and listed on the school website under Career Treks. Grab a permission form from the colored folders on Ms. Henderson’s desk and be sure to sign your name that you took a form. Return to her desk when they are filled out. Read more…

      Career Treks / Speakers

    To start the school year, we have a retired Hoffman Police officer coming to talk about he Police Explorer Post and what it takes to become a police officer. She will talk to us on Thursday, Sept 8th (B Day) from 1:15 – 2:00 in the Media Center. Our first trek of the year will be going to St. Alexius Medical Center on Wednesday, Sept 21st (A Day) from 11:45 – 1:45 to learn about Robotic Surgery. If you are interested in becoming a surgeon, love robotics, technology or engineering, it would be a great new trek to come on. There is limited space on this trek. Permission forms for all speakers and treks are in the Media Center on Ms. Henderson’s desk for the 2016-2017 school year. All students are invited!!

    ATTENTION SENIORS

    If you are interested in the second lottery for a chance to receive a student parking permit, please see Mrs. Abate in the Intervention Office as soon as possible. All application must be turned in by end of day (3pm) Friday, September 2, 2016 to be considered for the lottery.

    Art & Writing Club Meeting

    We will host our first Art & Writing Club meeting this Wednesday, August 31st at 2:55 in room 114! All are welcome! See Mr. Beers in the Art Department if you have any questions or cannot attend.

      SNOWBALL & Breakfast !!!

    We need you! Join us for our Snowball meetings every Thursday 7:30 AM. Next meeting is Thursday, September 1st – Room #132.
     
    What is Snowball? Snowball is a way to boost your self-esteem by being accepted for who you are, not what others want you to be, and to have a lot of fun doing it. We have so many fun activities planned for the year! Come,check us out and have breakfast snack before class!

      Resource Center – After School Tutoring

    The RC will be closed on Thursday, September 1, of this week because of the half day.

      College/University Reps Visiting HEHS

    Students are invited to sign up for 45-minute informational meetings with college representatives.Utilize these meetings to listen to a presentation from the representative and to ask questions to gather data for your future choices. Please sign up in the College/Career Resource Center, located in the Media Center, to receive a pass. Be sure to inform your teacher of the meeting, get teacher signature and report to meeting. Meetings will be in the CRC unless directed otherwise. Any questions, see Mrs. Bahnick in the CRC.

    If you are interested in Art, Music, Fashion, Dance, Theatre, Film, Forensics, and any other Fine or Performing Arts, but were not able to make the meeting on Tuesday, please join the Schoology course 7X82M-DM754 and fill out the interest form.
