The Amy Rudolph Basketball Tournament, in its 36th year, recognizes Amy Rudolph, a special education student, who passed away in November of 1982 from kidney failure. She was only 15 years old. Three months after her death, Hoffman Estates High School hosted a sporting event to honor Amy’s love of sports and her outgoing personality that inspired those around her. This event, the Amy Rudolph Basketball Tournament continues ever year in her honor. All proceeds raised at this event directly benefit the National Kidney Foundation.
The 36th Annual Amy Rudolph Basketball Tournament will take place at 6 p.m., Friday, Feb. 23, 2018 at Hoffman Estates High School. Special Education students from Hoffman Estates High School and other area schools will participate in this unique event. Mainstream students from Hoffman Estates will also participate as referees, coaches, scorekeepers, and in other capacities.
A successful community event for 36 years, this tournament has already raised thousands of dollars for the National Kidney Foundation. Come be a part of this great community event!
